CVICU Intensivist Opportunity | Academic Health System on the Gulf Coast

A growing academic health system along the Gulf Coast is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Critical Care Intensivist to join a dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) supporting an expanding cardiothoracic and vascular surgery program.

This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a physician-led ICU environment while collaborating closely with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons in the care of complex postoperative patients.

Clinical Scope

• Postoperative management of CABG, valve, aortic, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Care of patients with cardiogenic shock, severe respiratory failure, and multiorgan dysfunction
• ECMO management and advanced hemodynamic support
• Mechanical ventilation management
• Invasive monitoring and critical care procedures
• Bronchoscopy, chest tube management, CRRT, and bedside critical care interventions

Qualifications

Candidates from a variety of critical care backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including:

• Anesthesia Critical Care
• Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine
• Surgical Critical Care
• Emergency Medicine Critical Care

Experience managing ECMO patients and complex cardiovascular critical care cases is highly desirable.
