⭐ Role Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment plans
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate internal medicine residents and medical students
- Guide learners in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, EMR documentation, and discharge processes
- Participate in educational activities including lectures, rounds, and grand rounds
- Serve on key committees (CCC, PEC, Policy Committee, and others of interest)
- Interview residency candidates during scheduled interview days
- Engage in scholarly activity (case reports, QI projects, publications)
- Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives
⭐ Qualifications
- MD/DO with eligibility for Alabama medical license
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Active ABMS board certification (or board eligibility)
- ECFMG certification (if applicable)
