⭐ Role Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment plans
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate internal medicine residents and medical students
  • Guide learners in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, EMR documentation, and discharge processes
  • Participate in educational activities including lectures, rounds, and grand rounds
  • Serve on key committees (CCC, PEC, Policy Committee, and others of interest)
  • Interview residency candidates during scheduled interview days
  • Engage in scholarly activity (case reports, QI projects, publications)
  • Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives

⭐ Qualifications

  • MD/DO with eligibility for Alabama medical license
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
  • Active ABMS board certification (or board eligibility)
  • ECFMG certification (if applicable)
