A leading regional health system in the Florida Panhandle is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an established team and lead an Integrated Cardiovascular Service Line. This is a key leadership opportunity within a growing quaternary care program that blends community-based care with academic involvement.

Position Highlights

  • Leadership Role: Cardiothoracic Surgery Medical Director

  • Join 3 experienced cardiothoracic surgeons supported by 5 APPs
  • Call: 1:4
  • Compensation: Base salary + uncapped wRVUs

Scope of Practice

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Adult Cardiac Surgery
  • On- and off-pump CABG
  • Mitral valve repair
  • Participation in an active TAVR program
  • Arrhythmia surgery
  • Open & endovascular aortic surgery, including dissection repair
  • Comprehensive thoracic surgery, including:
    • Minimally invasive lung resections
    • Transhiatal esophagectomy
    • Complex anti-reflux procedures
  • Experience with minimally invasive and robotic surgery strongly preferred
  • Prior leadership or program-building experience is a plus

Cardiovascular Team Composition

  • 5 Interventional Cardiologists
  • 8 Non-Invasive/Imaging Cardiologists
  • 3 Electrophysiologists
  • 4 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
  • 2 Vascular Surgeons
  • 11 Internal Medicine/Family Medicine physicians

A highly coordinated, multidisciplinary team supporting advanced cardiac and thoracic care.
