Emergency Medicine Physician | Private Democratic Group | Coastal North Florida

Due to continued regional growth, we are seeking a BE/BC Emergency Medicine physician to join a highly respected private democratic group with multiple practice locations throughout North Florida.

- Comprehensive onboarding and go-live orientation
Practice Environment
- Annual ED volumes ranging from 20,000 to 65,000 visits
- Hospital EDs with 30–50 treatment beds
- Freestanding EDs with 16–25 treatment beds
- Physician coverage model: 70% physicians / 30% APCs
- Dedicated support staff including AI scribe, emergency department technicians, and unit coordinators
- Strong physician oversight of advanced practice providers
Enjoy excellent specialty support, including anesthesia, OB/GYN, general surgery, and numerous medical specialties. Larger facilities also offer neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysiology, ophthalmology, and additional subspecialty backup.
Schedule
- Primarily 9- and 10-hour shifts
- Limited 12-hour shifts
- Typical physician schedule of 120–160 hours per month
- Volunteer call only
- Shared weekend, holiday, and night coverage
- Flexible scheduling within a stable, collaborative group
Clinical Practice
Care for a diverse patient population across community hospitals, urban emergency departments, and freestanding emergency centers while practicing the full scope of Emergency Medicine.
Procedures include:
- Endotracheal intubation (direct and video laryngoscopy)
- Cricothyrotomy
- Chest tube placement
- Central venous access
- Intraosseous access
- Needle thoracostomy
- Pericardiocentesis
- Procedural sedation
- Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS/FAST)
- Vaginal deliveries
- Laceration repair
- Incision and drainage
- Foreign body removal
- Comprehensive eye examinations
Productivity expectations range from 1.6 to 2.6 patients per hour, depending on practice location.
