As the largest acute care facility in the Big Bend Region, this hospital has been serving North Florida and South Georgia for decades. It offers more than 770 inpatient beds and provides a wide spectrum of services, including a nationally recognized heart and vascular program, advanced cancer care, neuroscience services, women’s and children’s health, orthopedics, and a robust primary and specialty care network.

It is home to the region’s only Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, making it a critical referral destination for complex and emergency cases. The Emergency Department is a 53-bed, high-volume center equipped with four dedicated trauma bays and a rapid-response laboratory, treating more than 65,000 patients each year.

With a strong commitment to teaching and innovation, the hospital also partners with academic institutions to train the next generation of physicians and health professionals.
