This hospital system is seeking BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalists or BC/BE Pediatricians with experience in the hospital setting to join our existing pediatric hospitalist team in providing coverage for a 26-bed unit. Our long-established Pediatric Hospitalist program serves over 30 counties throughout Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. The hospital is a 700+-bed facility which includes a six-bed PICU and 33-bed Level III NICU. Our 26-bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit is currently staffed by a group of six board-certified pediatric hospitalists. Other pediatric specialists include endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, and more. The Air Care program and the Children’s Ambulance provide services for newborn emergency transports. The Department of Pathology at this medical school is currently seeking a Pediatric Pathologist. Candidates must have and MD or DO degree or equivalent, BC/BE in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (or Anatomic Pathology), and must have completed a pediatric pathology fellowship training program. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.. The Department of Pathology serves a Hospital (Level I Trauma Center), a Children's and Women's Hospital (currently building a state of art Emergency Room which will open early 2024), a cancer center, a Patient Care Center, a free-standing ED, and multiple clinics throughout the greater coastal area The clinical laboratories of the health system perform over 3 million tests/year. The transfusion medicine section is accredited by the AABB and College of American Pathologists (CAP). This area is also responsible for providing transfusion consultation services for high-risk surgeries and ob-gyn operations. We perform approximately 40 pediatric autopsies/year and about 4000 pediatric surgical cases. Molecular/next generation sequencing, immunohistochemistry, FISH, and electron microscopy laboratories are part of the sophisticated menu oftests available. The Department has a combined residency training program in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with 12 residents and fellowship training programs.
