The Department of Pathology is currently recruiting for a full time team- oriented faculty member with board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology to participate in surgical pathology and autopsy pathology. Subspecialty in GYN pathology is desired, but not required. The opening is for an assistant/associate/ full professor on a clinician track.

The Division of Anatomic Pathology handles about 17,000 surgical and 4,500 cytology cases a year and it is expanding rapidly. Molecular/ next generation sequencing, cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, FISH, and electron microscopy laboratories are part of the sophisticated menu of tests available. Neuro-Oncology Opportunity Located In Eastern, NC This hospital system is seeking a BE/BC fellowship trained Neuro-Oncologist. The successful candidate will join an established multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, radiosurgery, hematology oncology, radiation oncology, neuroradiology and neuropathology. The medical center proudly earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Brain Tumor Care in the fall of 2024. The Physicians provides state of the art care for patients in eastern North Carolina through a cancer care network of university faculty and hospital employed physicians in a hub and spoke model of care. Opportunity Highlights:

  • Established neuro-oncology program
  • Growing clinical neuroscience team inclusive of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 + neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists. The subspecialties include pediatric neurology, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, intraoperative monitoring and neuro-oncology.
  • The medical center has a 24-bed NSICU led by Neurointensivists as well as a 75-bed CARF accredited rehabilitation center providing inpatient and outpatient support to neurology patients
  • In addition to its clinical and academic expertise, the Medical Center offers an array of comprehensive brain tumor interventions, supported by state-of-the-art technology like GammaTile therapy, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, Cyberknife radiosurgery as well as innovative clinical trials that improve brain tumor knowledge, treatments and outcomes

Offices are well equipped with full staff and EHR.  Salary = $325,000 or higher based on experience with obtainable productivity bonuses  Looking for Ophthalmologist to join busy group  5 Optometrists in the group  2 office locations and an off-campus office-based surgery center  Offices equipped with full optical dispensary, HumphriesVF, Zeiss Cirrus HD/OCT, and Optomap  Class A surgery center fully equipped with Zeiss Lumera microscope, J&J White Star phaco machine, Nidek YAG, green laser, IOL Master, Radius virtual VF, corneal topography o 2 complete lanes for examinations o Envision Forma I and Lumecca for dry eye treatments o Morpheus8 for facial cosmetics and skin revitalization  Additional credentialing at local hospital encouraged to allow for cataract surgery and/or other surgeries that require additional or general anesthesia o Surgical volume approx. 800 cataracts annually (between hospital and surgery center) o Hospital is equipped with J&J White Star phaco machine and Zeiss Lumera microscope with Stryker camera system o Both the hospital and the surgery center are equipped to provide premium lenses and to perform MIGS (iStent, Xen stent, and goniotomy). o If comfortable, there are opportunities to perform glaucoma surgeries, strabismus surgeries and cosmetic surgeries  Consultations (both preop and unusual cases) from internal referral base and external referral bases  Practice draws from at least 6 surrounding counties for a heavy volume practice with an estimated 30-40 patients per day for the Ophthalmologist o Heavy volume of diabetes and glaucoma Extra resources and partnership programs available:
