This practice has telemedicine available to address care at 3 regional hospitals. Enjoy close collaboration with outpatient endocrinologists and a team of outpatient APPs to facilitate excellent patent care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Department of Pathology is currently recruiting for a full time team- oriented faculty member with board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology to participate in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy pathology. The opening is for an assistant/associate/ full professor on a clinician track. Subspecialty in GI or breast pathology is desired, but not required.
The Division of Anatomic Pathology handles about 17,000 surgical and 4,500 cytology cases a year and it is expanding rapidly. Molecular/ next generation sequencing, cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, FISH, and electron microscopy laboratories are part of the sophisticated menu of tests available. Clinical responsibilities will include teaching students and housestaff, patient care, and basic and/or clinical research. Faculty share weekend call and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research time, formal teaching at the COM undergraduate level, clinical educator role, etc.

- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Nephrology Fellowship program
- Board certified in Internal Medicine and Board certified in Nephrology
- Ability to obtain medical license/DEA for the state of Alabama
